Educator, Author, and Emotional Architect
Meet Joy Marchese
I’m an Emotional Architect
I deliver workshops and create educational tools to help parents and educators design a healthy emotional blueprint for each child. Because ALL children deserve a strong emotional foundation from which to thrive.
With 25+ years of experience in education and wellbeing, as a teacher, trainer, author, and speaker. I have devoted my life to making the world a better place through education.
With my combined passion and experience in education, professional development, and wellness I am able to offer a comprehensive look into the modern world of parenting, relationships, and personal and professional development.
MY WHY
I believe education isn’t just about academics — it’s about helping people thrive.
When we equip children and adults with the right tools — like emotional intelligence, confidence, and purpose — we empower them to face life with courage and connection.
At the heart of it all? Belonging.
When people feel seen, heard, and valued, they show up differently — in their relationships, in their work, in the world.
That’s why I’m passionate about creating safe, connected spaces that nurture the whole person — so we can raise a generation of compassionate leaders who care deeply and lead with heart.
MY PURPOSE
People and purpose have always guided my path.
I’ve been drawn to connection, and I find meaning in helping others grow especially when I see that spark of self-belief light up in someone I’m teaching.
I believe that wellbeing starts from within. When we nurture the whole person, we create space for true health, happiness, and possibility.
That’s why everything I’ve created from Positive Discipline UK and iGROWco to the SEEDS Institute and my book ( Positive Discipline for Today's Busy (& Overwhelmed) Parent ) is built through the lens of emotional wellness and authentic growth.

From being in international education for over 20 years, Kimberly cares deeply about inclusion; the exposure to, and privilege of, working with people coming from such differing backgrounds has cultivated in her an immense appreciation for the unique human spirit, honed her ability to consider multiple perspectives in varied situations, and enabled growth through sincere connections in all aspects of instruction and interaction.
She has extensive experience working with people of all age levels in a diverse variety of roles in the classroom and leadership level, extending to the parents and supporters of the broader school community. As a constant throughout her career, Kimberly has continued to strengthen her teaching, learning, leadership, and facilitation skills by actively participating in numerous communication courses, such as Cognitive Coaching, Adaptive Schools and Authentic Conversations.
Among other developmental workshops she has taken or facilitated around the world as a pedagogical coordinator for several years, and now as a certified Positive Discipline Trainer, all her work is aimed at building stronger connections for more empowered interactions.
“The only thing constant in life is change” - Heraclitus.
For more than 3 decades I’ve navigated dynamics within a four generation family, balancing expatriate experiences with maintaining roots and connectivity, love and a sense of belonging whilst sadly, yet inevitably folding in loss. Combined with a career transition and personal discovery, finding strength in uncertainty has become my specialty and holding space for others as they navigate all of above and more has become my purpose.
In today’s world of convenience and short cuts, we’ve lost the art of creating and solving from within. For over 2 decades I have combined certifications in executive and life coaching, NLP, grief, loss and bereavement coaching with my own journey of navigating the art of living as an atomised family. Whether it was my own family move, other close family living abroad, and now two of my adult children forging a life in a different country, the importance of maintaining closeness with distance has become ever present. Through observations of my own community, absorbing and digesting my life experiences of connection and disconnection and what I have gleaned from ongoing training, I have learned the value of personal recipes, souring one’s own unique ingredients and infusing the process with emotion and intuition. This approach not only enriches the journey of our lives but deepens our understanding of cause and effect in achieving our goals.
This combination allows me to work with both the emotional depth of change and the practical process of moving forward.
